Hotel Chocolat recognises that everybody can be unwell at times and may require some time away from
work. However, for Hotel Chocolat to be sustainable, we require your regular attendance at work.
All cases of absence from work will be addressed on their own merit but this policy is in place to enable managers to address both short and long-term absence, in a fair and consistent way. This policy sets out how the procedure will be followed.
Short Term – absence is considered short term when under 4 weeks and/or where there are multiple occasions of absence in a rolling 52-week period.
Long Term – absence is considered long term when for a period of 4+ weeks.
